Kicking Things Off
Hello and welcome to the O House blog! We wake up every day with a grateful heart, surrounded by spectacular landscapes, artistic inspiration, and a global community of amazingly talented people. We hope to share stories from our network of world-class artists and craftspeople and inspirational wellness tips from our Ericeira community. You’ll also find updates about our upcoming retreats and events and insight into life in Ericeira. We can’t wait for you to join us and connect.
After January and February’s storms, we are thrilled for March’s sunshine, as well as our first art retreats of the year. In just one week, we will be jumping into Crochet & Connection: A Hook & Book Retreat. Hosted by Lee of @coco.crochet.lee, this retreat will be a magical exploration of amigurumi techniques. Participants will embrace the fairytale coastal charm of Ericeira as they stitch Ursula from The Little Mermaid.
Starting on March 21, we will host another crochet retreat, this time led by Olena of @jolly.lizard. Over the course of five days, participants will stitch granny squares designed in homage to Portugal’s iconic azulejos. To complement their stitching, they will explore the ornate halls of Pena Palace and get a firsthand look at some of Portugal’s finest tiles.
Stay tuned for snapshots of both retreats. March is going to be a month of intentional creation, tasty food and drink, and good company. We couldn’t be more excited, and we look forward to sharing it with you!
