Ericeira has over 50 surf schools tied to licenses for different beaches. Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or expert new to the area, we have selected some of our favorite schools that cover the south, center, and north of the Ericeira World Surfing Reserve, making sure that you have plenty of locations to choose from. Semente Surf School - North
You will have an amazing time with Semente Surf School, our trusted partner for memorable surfing experiences in Ericeira. Founded in 2010 alongside Semente Surfboards, Portugal’s most iconic surfboard brand, this school is buzzing with energy and a passion for teaching.
Semente’s local, FPS-certified instructors provide personalized lessons for all ages and skill levels, always in small groups to ensure a safe and effective learning experience. In addition to group and private lessons, they offer an exclusive shape workshop, where you can learn about surfboard crafting, as well as special sessions for kids.

Surf 365 Ericeira - Center
At O House, we believe you’ll have an unforgettable experience with Surf 365 Ericeira, our trusted partner for year-round surf coaching. Accredited by the Portuguese Surfing Federation, this family-run school is dedicated to delivering high-quality, personalized instruction on the stunning beaches of the Ericeira World Surfing Reserve.
Founded by João Rua, who left a 35-year career to pursue his passion for teaching surfing, Surf 365 Ericeira is built on a deep love for the ocean and a commitment to safety, progression, and fun. The team includes Filipa Romeiras, a true local with unparalleled knowledge of Ericeira’s beaches, as well as João’s sons, Pedro and Miguel Rua, both raised in these legendary waves and known for their expertise in surf instruction and competition.

Led by a team of committed instructors, the school shines with the expertise of Tomás Fernandes, a professional surfer with multiple national circuit victories and a standout 3rd place finish at the 2014 World Junior Championship.
