Imagine spending your morning roaming the alluring streets of a traditional fishing village perched by the Atlantic Ocean. After exploring shops and cobblestone streets, you make your way to the coast, where you watch giant waves crash into shore, perhaps propelling a surfer with their unimaginable strength. After a delicious lunch, you make your way to another town, where you walk among historic walls and and a medieval castle, wondering at the history that has passed amidst those very streets.

This experience takes you to two of Portugal’s classic attractions: Nazaré and Óbidos. We will travel to Nazaré first, where we will get a glimpse into life in a traditional fishing village. Our journey will then take us to a viewpoint above Nazaré Canyon, where we will watch Nazaré’s famous waves come and go.

After a tasty lunch, we will head to Óbidos. This small village is brimming with history and culture, providing a window into Portugal’s rich traditions. We will walk along the medieval wall that encircles the village, marveling at the well-preserved architecture that dates back hundreds of years. There is also much to explore in the village itself, such as the numerous bookstores that have resulted in Óbidos’ designation as a UNESCO City of Literature.

To cap off the experience, we will stop for an original regional tasting, exploring traditional flavors of the area and further immersing ourselves in local culture. Build lifelong memories with this tour of Portugal’s vibrant villages and coastlines.
