Artist Spotlight: Lee

Art, creation, and exploration are intrinsic to our mission at O House. These values bring people together, help us see the world through a new light, and prompt us to slow down and appreciate the quiet moments. Each of our artist partners is a member of the O House family, and we are so grateful to be collaborating with incredible creators from all around the world.

Our first artist spotlight is Lee of @coco.crochet.lee. Lee got her start in the crochet world as Assistant Editor of Happily Hooked Magazine, and then began her own business with CoCo Crochet Lee. Now, she is the author of numerous crochet books, such as Crochet Your Celebrity Crush and Amigurumi Affirmations, and has designed countless patterns. Lee specializes in modern wearable designs and adorable amigurumi.

In addition to intricate crochet designs, you will also find funny fiber arts skits on her page, making her relatable and approachable for tens of thousands of artists. She is also an experienced instruction, having taught crochet techniques and patterns on shows such as PBS’s Knit and Crochet Now and Annie’s Creative Studio.

We are so excited to be partnering with Lee for Crochet & Connection: A Hook & Book Retreat. Lee will teach intermediate crochet techniques, such as cables and Tunisian crochet, while also providing advice to up-and-coming crochet designers on how to create a career in the crochet world.

If you missed your chance to join Lee’s retreat this year, don’t worry; she’ll be back at O House in spring of 2027 to host two more crochet retreats.
